October went by way too quickly. My “annual routine” is to wait until late in the year before taking time off of work… and by October, I am ready to get out into the woods. Truth be told, I am exhausted. 2020, enough said….
I need a better title than “Meditations” but that is all I can come up with right now. I expect to continue to “rebrand” my Christian thoughts until I find the best fit.
I have a habit of taking a quick snapshot of meaningful thoughts and memes that pop up on my phone…. gonna post some of them with my thoughts….
I believe this with all my heart. There was a time in my life that I didn’t understand that our lives had purpose. Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life was very confusing to me.
One does not have to be a Christian to understand this. I see in our society, too many times, that people believe that the end justifies the means. I was in a Bible study one time and a good friend said, “you know, it seems like the journey IS the destination.” What we do, how we act…. makes a difference. I see in our society the power of being a victim… the power to manipulate, using half-truths. We need to call this what it is …. it is wickedness.
The Book of Proverbs was written by the wisest man in the Old Testament … King Solomon. Proverbs is the wisdom of God. Here is a reference to self-control (see Galatians 5:22-23). I need work on this myself.
God is in your life more than you realize. Sovereign is not just a word.
We have too much corruption in our world today.
I pray to be a better messenger. I think having the self control to manage the injustices in our world will pay long-term spiritual dividends.
We see this today.
I believe this. Thy Kingdom Come….. #Faith
I remember being angry when this concept was introduced to me. I realize now that it is truth… to teach humility, self-control, #Faith.
