Chuck Mills announced today that he is running for City Council. Chuck is a military veteran and grew up in Detroit. Chuck has lived in Whitewater for most of his adult life and owns Mills Auto. Chuck also ran the Whitewater 4th of July parade for many years.
I might be a little biased 🙂 I have gotten to know Chuck fairly well over the last couple years. I think he is one of the hardest working guys in Whitewater and Wisconsin. I asked him today what made him decide and he told me (pardon me as I paraphrase) that he has always been a doer and this is a great opportunity to serve Whitewater.
So if you get a chance, stop by Mills’ Auto Friday (Dec 31st) or Monday, talk to Chuck, and sign the petition to get him on the ballot.
Discerning Whitewater 
Years ago, my wife took her car to Chuck’s repair shop for the first and only time. The shop quoted us a reasonable price for the repair before we agreed to it. But then we found our final bill was substantially higher, because tax (fine) and a “shop supply fee” (not fine) had been added to the price. My traditional values and moral scruples tell me that being fully truthful means including the “shop supply fees” in the initial quote.
