Stunning Crime Data on Whitewater

I have received more feedback regarding the immigration post than I have gotten in quite a while (granted I have not been writing much lately). Thank you for the feedback.

I believe Whitewater has the potential to truly be the light in this tough time. More on that to come….

I have so much respect and love for Whitewater’s Police Department. The Breitbart article regarding immigration in Whitewater, and the requests for assistance have reminded me of how tough their job truly is.

The Breitbart article referenced a study of Whitewater crime by Crimegrade.org.

The results of this study are staggering.

Let’s begin by looking at our neighbor, Fort Atkinson.

Fort Atkinson … pretty safe place.

Alright … now let’s take a look at Elkhorn:

Now let’s look at Whitewater:

Further breakdown of the numbers:

My thoughts regarding this data:

Obviously, this data is very concerning. But, having the data sure seems to a good start.

Delavan also has high crime data.

What does Whitewater and Delavan have in common or different from Fort Atkinson and Elkhorn?

Do you trust Whitewater Police when they tell you their concerns and needs?  Or do you trust the woke knuckleheads?

Anyways….  so how am I going to deal with the crime in Whitewater?

– Pray. How do I share the love of Christ moving forward? Act on it.

– Do not listen to the progressive knuckleheads that continue to verbally attack the police

– I am not going to add to the chaos.

I will continue to get my hands dirty. Volunteer. Be the light.

So …  subscribe to Discerning Whitewater here…

Peace and love to you,

-mike

Ephesians 5:1-2 (New American Standard Bible)

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

  1. By national, state, and local standards, serious crime in Whitewater is not occurring at high rates.

In 2022, Whitewater had 21.1 violent index crimes (sum of homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, and aggravated assaults) per 10,000 residents. This is much lower than the national rate (i.e., for the entire US) of 38.1 per 10,000 residents. It is also lower than Wisconsin’s rate (i.e., for the entire state) of 29.7 per 10,000 residents.

Whitewater had 117.7 property index crimes (sum of thefts, motor vehicle thefts, arsons, and burglaries) per 10,000 residents in 2022. This is lower than the national rate of 195.4 per 10,000 residents or the state rate of 138.5 per 10,000 residents.

The 2022 property index crime rate of Jefferson (170.0 crimes per 10,000 residents) was much higher than Whitewater’s, and its violent index crime rate (22.2 per 10,000 residents) was slightly higher than Whitewater’s. Fort Atkinson’s violent index crime rate, which stood at 30.6 per 10,000 in 2022, was much higher than Whitewater’s, while Fort Atkinson’s property index crime rate (90.2 per 10,000 residents) was lower than Whitewater’s.

Index crimes are a problem and deserve to be taken seriously, whether they occur at low, medium, or high rates. But it is important to be accurate about the extent of the crime problem. All rates above are based on FBI reported crime data, accessible at the link below. 2022 is the latest year for which these data are available.
